Founded in 1986 by industry-renowned engineer Nick Robbins, we’ve worked hard to earn and maintain a reputation for dedicated excellence in engineering and building services.

R&S is built on a foundation of in-house engineering expertise, which we both recruit and nurture. We currently have 36 employees including five senior engineers. Almost all our engineers have one or more specialism including building services, petrochemical, process, mechanical and electrical engineering. All have a sound knowledge of, and respect for, business and commerce. Between them they provide a diverse range of services and have built a firm understanding of our clients’ requirements and operating parameters.
Also common to each of our engineers is the ability to apply and adapt their knowledge and expertise – and each, no matter how senior, continuously develops and shares their skills. Training (both for skills and ethos) and retention are important to us and we’re proud of our very low staff turnover.

Our philosophy is not to provide short-term fixes but to provide long-term solutions and value for money, which we build into our quality designs. Project work varies in size and nature, ranging from the installation of one-off air conditioning units to designing and installing complete factory facilities infrastructures. Our largest project to date had a value of c. £2.5m. Our experience allows us to fulfil the role of principal contractor, while our strong health and safety record ensures we offer quality services on time and safely.
Based in Gloucestershire, we primarily serve commercial and industrial clients around the South West and South Wales but we have travelled the world for our clients, many of which are ‘blue chip’ organisations with which we’re proud to have worked for many years.
